The Little Garden name is inspired by a passage from A Course in Miracles:
|
"The Thought of God surrounds your little kingdom,
waiting at the barrier you built to come inside and shine upon the barren
ground. See how life springs up everywhere! The desert becomes a garden,
deep and green and quiet, offering rest to those who lost their way and
wander in the dust. Give them a place of refuge, prepared by love for them
where once a desert was. And everyone you welcome will bring love with him
from Heaven for you. They enter one by one into this holy place, but they
will not depart as they had come, alone. The love they brought with them
will stay with them, as it will stay with you. And under its beneficence
your little garden will expand, and reach out to everyone who thirsts for
living water, but has grown too weary to go on alone." - ACIM, T-18.VIII.9 |
The Little Garden
Ministry

The Little Garden Ministry was formed by Jan O'Kelley,
an Interfaith minister, to support students and teachers of A Course in
Miracles. In the Course, the garden is a metaphor for love. Our
ministry is like the gardener's implement to foster the teaching of A
Course in Miracles and to help cultivate relationships based on
the love of Christ in each other.
Just as a nurseryperson will take a seed or a cutting and nurture it
until the tree can live on its own, our mission is to empower all those we
serve, on whatever level, to work with what we have to give and then to
become independent of our ministry. We do not seek to foster dependence on
any guru or interpreter of the Course, but to help students of the Course
to find and apply the teaching for themselves.
The Little Garden Ministry is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit
Corporation. All donations are tax-deductible. |
