Charlotte S. Hunter

Charlotte S. Hunter was born January l9, l949 in Harlem, New York City.   From a young age she was always looking beyond the limits of the world around her, seeking a  kinder, more loving reality, and longing to bring joy to other, less fortunate, children.

At the age of 27 she embarked on an inner spiritual journey that also let her to travel far and wide, in search of a way to make a difference in the world. 
 
For over twenty years she has followed the teachings of Emmanuel through Pat Rodegast, and has studied many other forms of spirituality with different teachers.  She continues to learn from a host of others.  Her heart's desire is to be able to give to as many children as possible. 

"To my family of donors: My experience of serving these children has brought fullness to my heart that cannot be described in words. The spiral of receiving and giving leaves me deeply humbled."

Kit Blaker - Kit Blaker, Ph.D. has been a psychotherapist for 35 years in private practice in the New York City area. During that time, she had a daily call-in advice radio show on WOR from 1980-1988. She is also the author of three popular psychology books. Appearances on Oprah, David Letterman, Donahue, Good Morning America and others made her a well known television personality. At the present time, she has retired to South Carolina with her husband and is working as an Interfaith Minister and a stained glass artist.

Lydia Conca Feller Lydia lives in Tolland, Connecticut, with her husband Bruce and son Daniel. Lydia is an Associate Professor of Education at Saint Joseph College in West Hartford.  She is a teacher educator with a focus on children and adolescents at-risk for school failure.  Her interests are in the areas of reading and language, urban school improvement and teacher development.  Prior to her college position she has worked with school in consultation capacities and also as a teacher at the elementary, middle and secondary levels.  Lydia is an avid gardener and her home has become a palette for her artistic expressions. When the season is not summertime, Lydia can be found with family or friends planning dinners and adventures.

Bruce Feller – Bruce lives in Tolland, Connecticut, with his wife Lydia and son Daniel.  Bruce is a scientist (physicist), and owns and operates a high-tech business outside of Boston, which is currently engaged in R&D work on advanced neutron detectors for homeland security and scientific research. Earlier in his career, he taught physics at Northwestern University in Chicago.  Prior to this in Chicago, Bruce played blues and jazz piano, touring with Eddie Taylor, Andrew ‘Blueblood’ McMahon, and occasionally with Jimmie Dawkins and Lucille Spann.  After teaching, he then returned to New England where he had earlier attended both college and graduate school. Ever since college, where in addition to science he studied analytical philosophy as well as economics, he has maintained a lifelong interest in these topics, still reading extensively.  He’s also finally finding time to getting back to dusting off his piano playing again, jamming occasionally with musician friends up in Maine and with CDs at home.

David Schneider - David Schneider is a resident of Tolland Connecticut, David has long been involved in community service and activism. He is presently a volunteer with Make A Wish Foundation of Connecticut, the American Red Cross and Habitat For Humanity. As a certified yoga instructor, David teaches classes in both gentle and chair yoga.

Marge Schneider - Marge Schneider’s journey has taken many paths: educator; entertainer in long-term care facilities including puppets, storytelling and music; spiritual counselor and Reiki practitioner; Justice of the Peace. Marge has worked for over twenty years in long-term care and hospice and pioneered a program in expressive puppetry which is unique to our country. She presents workshops and trainings across this country and Canada entitled, "Opening the Heart, Creating Connections: Reaching
Beyond the Barriers of Dementia and Depression", which she presents to a broad variety of healthcare professionals. Her work has been featured in various healthcare publications, television and radio. She was a keynote presenter, along with Bernie Siegel, M.D. at the Conference on Aging. She was awarded a grant for the publication of her book entitled, "A Hand in Healing: Reaching Beyond the Barriers of Dementia and Depression" which is soon-to-be published.
