Work Study - A work study program has begun for children who have passed their exams and wish to go on the secondary school. Both orphans and children who live with their parents are eligible for this program. This way, they can offset the enrollment fee that the local secondary school charges. There are additional costs for books, uniforms, shoes, and in some cases, even desks!
The twenty secondary students supported under work study are assigned an elder within the community. They are expected to help the elder for six hours a week. Actvities include cooking and cleaning, washing garments, fetching water and wood. In some cases the students cultivate the elder's land.

Future agriculture Projects - The school has been unable to prevent the monkeys from eating the maize (corn) crops, so growing the corn has been suspended. Plans are underway to enlarge the vegetable garden and grow organic coffee for profit.
Some areas allow for the growing of pineapples and corn. Our second school is located in a town, rather than the bush. Yet, similar to our first school, they have been unable to produce sufficent maize to feed the 384 children their morning porridge for one month. This school also has plans to enlarge their gardens.
All three schools plan to keep bees to harvest honey.
